Mission statement:

Shalom Health International is an educational and healthcare charity set up to reduce cervical and eradicate cervical cancer. We do this through

  1. Establishment of Cervical Screening centres
  2. Health Education
  3. Personnel development and training
  4. Information Technology support for call and recall
  5. Facilitating collaboration with charitable organisations and individualsEmpowering the service users

 

 Our Story:

Our families have been beneficiaries of the simple and effective cervical cancer prevention strategies in the developed world while we have had relatives who have suffered from the scourge of the disease in sub Saharan Africa. It is our belief that it is time to stem the scourge of cervical cancer, to establish a people centred and effective cervical cancer prevention programme in sub-Saharan Africa. To this sole aim we dedicate our time. Armed with vision to eradicate cervical cancer, with a resolve to start small, the unflinching faith in the goodwill of the people and ensure we establish effective cervical prevention in sub-Saharan Africa.

Current and planned Activities:
1. BSCCP sponsored candidate visited the UK
2. Pilot cervical screening service in a site in Nigeria
3. Support Colposcopy development and training : November yearly
4. Provide equipment for cervical and HPV screening
5. Improve call and recall using mobile technology
